This activity will allow students who have difficulty communicating opportunity to practice using/ repeating short phrases and sentences. Higher functioning students or those with good communication skills would serve as positive models.

Follow the leader can support communication and socialization goals by allowing the student a safe platform to both communicate and socialize. They can follow their peers lead and be the leader which encourages them to communicate with one another and interact with their peers in a socially appropriate manner. This activity also encourages students to clap/cheer for their classmates and makes everyone feel good about themselves.
