As a kinder Gen. Ed. teacher, my students love all aspects of the ease curriculum. They love the exploration and the integrated lessons. They are also great helpers. Last year my class had 6-8 students from our mild to moderate autism class integrate during our Ease lessons. My Gen. Ed. students were always ready to help and participate with all students. They key point is that the integration is consistent,  so students get to know each other.  Good Luck!

Thanks for the feedback! It sounds like you have a great group and you are also supported by your Special Ed. teacher. I feel optimistic for next years integration opportunity using EASE.

I am a general ed. teacher.  I feel that EASE is a great way to start off the school year. A way to introduce procedures, rules, and expectations.  This then allows my general ed. class to work well and help others when we mainstream.  I have students who love to help as well as students who need structure and routine.  This has allowed me to incorporate EASE across the curriculum, into art, music, and PE.  EASE has helped my students learn to  share, wait their turn, and to be respectful of others. It is a great program and is worth planning it into your weekly or daily schedule.
