b. Leader makes simple movement.
Make only one movement. It is not meant to be a repetitive motion (i.e., don’t repeat it over and over; just do it one time).
Sample movements:
• raise one or both hands
• put hands on hips
• point arm out to the side
• turn head
• raise one or both hands
• put hands on hips
• point arm out to the side
• turn head
• lift a knee
• fold hands
• hang head down
• lean to one side
a. “Now you do it!”
b. Others copy movement
You may need to remind students what the movement was.
Student leaders, particularly non-verbal students, may need assistance in prompting others to watch and then repeat their movement.
They also may need help choosing a movement.
