What activity you want to film
-
What you might be looking for in the filming if the activity…for example:
- The set-up (to see how this might have impacted the future success or challenge of the activity)
- The students working independently
- You leading some aspect of the lesson, one particular student who you are focusing on, etc.
- You may also just want to randomly film one section and see what emerges!
The short Found Object Building clip that was shown during the PD has been shared in this folder as a reminder of some of the effective aspects of filming your classroom:
- Know What’s Important! Make a decision before-hand to either stay stationary to focus on one particular element OR move around to capture the entirety of the classroom space and/or students movement throughout
- Keep your clip to a very short 2-3 minutes max.
- Don’t film vertically
After you (or your TA) have filmed the section of your class, the clip will be uploaded by you or your TA to a folder in the Google Drive. This link can be found in the next Section: Upload Your Clip Here!
Please ask your TA or myself any questions you might have and HAPPY FILMING! We are excited to see the work in action!
