    I would have pre-torn lengths of tape for the children to put down so that they dont have to tear it them selves. Adults could also put tape in the child’s hand and then pull and tear for them. Another idea would be to pre-torn the tape so that it is almost cut and much EASEier 😉 to tear for the children.

    I would have the student pass a talking device such as a small “talking Brix” or you could pass a “big mac” talking device between the students. This way the students are able to pass a communication device around that has a pre-programmed vocabulary word on it.

    I found that EASE instrument building was a great activity for this population. We made maracas and students shook them. We spend a whole ease lesson just experimenting the rice and pasta. Take some rice, beans or pasta and put them in a box or bucket, then let the students touch the beans/rice/pasta. You could then have the students put the items in a bottle to create a shaker. Then students will have made instruments that they can use to make music and compose or explore music.
