I would do the scarfs activity in a circle sitting in chairs with my assistants in between students needing more support for redirecting and increased participation.
Thank you Jeff! I agree, keeping in mind each student’s level of ability is important and will allow for the activities to flow smoother.
For my class in particular the stuffed stockings can be used for sensory output. The stockings can be used in place of standard writing utensils during language arts as they can be manipulated in many forms. Overall, I can see the stockings being used for multiple activities throughout the day from letter forming, to counting and color identification as well as an object to be used by students with sensory needs.
