Step-by-Step Instructions
This game is played while sitting or standing in a circle.
Instead of passing an object, players make eye contact and pass the next word in the sequence.
Word passing options
- counting
- alphabet
- days of the week
- months of the year
- counting by twos, fives, etc.
Each time the object goes around, students pretend that it has a different quality.
Choose or create pretending scenarios appropriate to your students’ cognitive levels.
Pretending suggestions: “Pretend the object is …”
- soft and cute
- covered in sticky glue
- made of ice
- a sleeping baby
- stinky
- very fragile
- burning hot
