EASE: Unit 3

Practice making a loud sound with the loud card, a quiet sound with the quiet card, and no sound with the Tricky No Sound card.

Post a Tricky No Sound card, a LOUD card, and a quiet card vertically.

For students who vocalize, it works best to start with a vocal sound:

• “ooooooooo”
• “blah blah blah blah”
• an animal sound (meow, oink, etc.)

If students do not vocalize, try a sound such as clapping.

Making the sound chosen in Step 3, players do what’s on the card being pointed to — a loud sound, a quiet sound, or no sound.
The leader can point to any card for any duration they choose.

Make sure the leader’s body does not block the cards!

Repeat steps 3-4 with a new leader (for example, a student), and/or a new sound.
