Composing and Reading Music with Instrument Cards
COMPOSING AND PERFORMING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Choose cards
2. Post horizontally, with STOP card at the end
3. Point to each card once, in sequence (left to right)
4. Repeat 1-3 with new leader
OPTIONS: continuous sound, or one sound per card
SCAFFOLDING FOR DIFFICULTY
1. Compose with one type of card
2. Introduce “TRICKY NO SOUND” card with one type of instrument card
3. Compose with two types of instrument cards
. — 1/2 players get 1 instrument, 1/2 get the other
4. Compose with two or more types of instrument cards, plus “TRICKY NO SOUND” cards
