EASE: Unit 2

Each player chooses an instrument and sits in a chair facing the other player.
Other students and adults in the class watch as an audience.

After determining what their prompt will be to indicate when they are done playing, Player 1 plays their instrument.
Player 2 must keep their instrument silent while they wait.

There are several options for prompting, discussed below.

Player 1 stops playing, and uses the predetermined prompting option to let Player 2 know that it is their turn.

Player 1 is silent while Player 2 plays.

Player 2 stops playing, and uses the predetermined prompting option to let Player 1 know that it is their turn.

Encourage players to keep turns short!

1. Verbal prompts (“Your turn!”)
2. Physical prompts (pointing at the other student; be careful about proximity when holding sticks or mallets)
3. Using non-verbal cues such as making eye contact
